First Time Central Heating Grants (FTCH)

First Time Central Heating grants assist low-income and inefficient homes through the installation of central heating and other measures as part of a whole house approach. ECO 4 Grants provide fully funded first time central heating measures that can include the installation of new efficient boilers, electric heating upgrades,  air source heat pumps, accompanied by insulation measures and more (such as Solar PV).

ECO 4 and Upgrading Inefficient gas boilers

ECO4 focuses on replacing outdated, inefficient non condensing boilers and gas back boilers with more environmentally friendly ones (such as a condensing boiler) or a more energy efficient heating system. The government will urge households to replace their boilers with more eco friendly options such as heat pumps. ECO4 will also continue to install solar photovoltaics (PV) along with any recommended measures as part of a whole house approach.

Heat pumps using an air source

Air source heat pumps have become extremely popular in the United Kingdom. They are an excellent, sustainable and cost-effective alternative to typical heating systems. According to the Energy Saving Trust, an air source heat pump may reduce your carbon footprint by 44% per year. Air source heat pumps can not only keep your home warm, but they can also provide hot water.  Additionally, they are far more efficient than the conventional oil or gas-fired boilers. Eco Connect has a network of certified installers across the UK for air source heat pumps.

ESH (electric storage heaters) Upgrade

As part of a continual commitment to promote energy efficiency across the UK, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) helps replace your old inefficient room heaters and outdated electric storage heaters (ESH) at no cost. Every month, we assist customers in making their homes warmer and more energy-efficient. The scheme is offered to UK homeowners, landlords and tenants, and you, like many others, may take advantage of it. The  scheme award covers the installation of a new central heating system, which comprises a boiler, radiators, related piping, and Smart Heating Controls unless other measures are recommended.

Our team of engineers and installers work within the Energy Company Obligation scheme and assist households to improve their energy efficient while also reducing their energy bills. If you qualify, a new first time central heating system and insulation is just a click away.
